Les Cellules Deambulent
An arts and science collective sharing cell biology through live performance.
About

Multicellular living beings, including humans, animals and plants, are made up of billions of cells. To study them and advance knowledge, researchers cultivate cells in the laboratory. This research carries hope and enthusiasm that scientists are keen to share with the general public.
Les Cellules Deambulent / The Stroll Cells is a collective of scientists and artists using performing arts to introduce audiences to cell life and laboratory cell culture. The collective explores cell costumes, wandering performances, street theatre, dance, songs and unusual guided visits.
Researchers, students and laboratory staff from Lyon take part each year in scientific mediation actions organized by the collective, with the support of financial and logistical partners.
