Before creating content

  • Use pages for stable information and editorial content types for structured items.
  • Use the most specific type available, such as news, event, job, publication, member, or project.
  • Search first when the content might already exist.

When unsure

  • Check where similar content appears on the public site.
  • Prefer updating an existing record over creating a duplicate.
  • Open a support ticket when the right type is unclear.
