About

My name is Camille, and I’m originally from the Touraine region. I began my journey with a technical university degree, which gave me the opportunity to discover and explore many laboratory techniques. I then continued my studies at an engineering school in Clermont-Ferrand, where I realized that what really fascinates me is research and time spent at the lab bench.

I joined the MARI team in January 2025 as an assistant engineer, where I had the opportunity to dive into an exciting field: DNA repair in muscle cells. This experience quickly fascinated me, and I decided to continue the adventure with a PhD, focusing on the TDP-43 protein, a key player in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This new chapter promises to be rich in discoveries, and I can’t wait to uncover the mysteries of this protein.

Outside the lab, I really enjoy sharing sports activities with colleagues and friends—running is always a refreshing escape for me. I also compete in triathlon (swimming, cycling, and running), which allows me to train across different disciplines without ever getting bored. And with all this sport, it’s no surprise that I’ve developed another passion: food! I especially enjoy experimenting with sweet recipes — a bit like testing a new protocol, always hoping it works on the first try.

Whether in the laboratory, in competition, or in the kitchen, I love learning, experimenting, and sharing these discoveries with others.
