About

Born in Paris, I spent my childhood near Tours and my summers in the deep countryside of Berry, on the edge of a forest. From my earliest days, I discovered the wonders of wildlife, which inspired me to make biology my career. After completing my doctoral thesis, I was recruited by INRA as a research engineer to develop germline transgenesis in the silkworm Bombyx mori. My career continued at the CNRS, where I specialised on the functioning of the nerve/muscle pair. At the twilight of my career, I joined Ambra Mari’s team to study the behaviour of nucleoli in muscle fibre nuclei following the stress of experimental and pathophysiological denervation in a murine model of SMA.

Outside of work, as I enjoy physical activity, I have practised sports since I was very young, mainly judo and karate for a total of 28 years, but also horse riding, scuba diving, mountain biking and, today, shooting and climbing. Since the age of 18, I have been a motorcyclist and speed enthusiast, hence my love for sports bikes, but I also enjoy riding more leisurely motorcycles to take in the magnificent landscapes of our beautiful country. As a result, I love mechanics and technology, and as military aviation has always fascinated me, I take pleasure to design and build model aeroplanes and fly them using a jet engine. I really enjoy flying my jet planes and sharing the wonder of their flights with my friends.
What characterises me most, in my opinion, is curiosity, the need to understand and experiment, and above all, sharing experiences, knowledge, and know-how through exchanges.
